What is Galileo AI?

Galileo AI was a text-to-UI generator that turned prompts and reference images into editable high-fidelity interface designs. Google acquired it in mid-2025 and relaunched it as Stitch, powered by Gemini and hosted in Google Labs, with a March 2026 update adding an infinite canvas for multi-screen flows, a design agent, voice input and MCP integration. Exports cover Figma with preserved layers plus code across several frameworks. Two things to know. Stitch is currently free with no paid plan at all, running on a daily credit allowance that resets, and the most requested feature on Google's forum is a way to buy more volume, so the model may change. And it remains a beta-badged Labs experiment: reviewers rate it highly for first drafts while noting output still reads as AI-generated and fine adjustments require re-prompting rather than direct editing.
