What is Haiper AI?

Haiper AI was a London text-to-video and image-to-video platform founded by former Google DeepMind researchers, generating four to eight second clips, animating still images and offering video repainting. It grew quickly through 2024 to several million users. It is no longer available: the consumer web app went offline in February 2025 with no email, no in-app notice and no migration path, and the site now returns errors. The pieces went in different directions. Cofounders Yishu Miao and Ziyu Wang joined Microsoft AI in March 2025, and NetMind.AI acquired the video generation models by mid-2025, folding the technology into B2B inference infrastructure with no consumer route back. Reporting attributes the closure to economics rather than product quality: the funding raised could not sustain GPU costs against rivals with far deeper pockets. Anything generated before the shutdown remains usable under whatever plan applied at the time.
