Glasp

Glasp is a social highlighting and knowledge management tool for researchers, writers and self-directed learners. A browser extension lets you highlight and annotate web pages, PDFs and YouTube transcripts, collecting everything into one searchable library that exports cleanly to Notion, Obsidian, Roam and Markdown, so it slots into an existing note system rather than becoming another silo. The social layer is the part to understand before adopting it. Glasp is built around shared learning, so your highlights are visible to others by default and you can follow what people in your field are marking up, which is genuinely useful for discovery and unsuitable for confidential or commercially sensitive material. Check the privacy settings against your own work before highlighting anything you would not publish, particularly for unpublished manuscripts or client documents.
