Scholarcy performs best on structured empirical papers with clear sections, and noticeably less well on theoretical, humanities or discursive writing where the argument does not decompose into findings and methods. And a summary is a triage aid, not a substitute for reading: anything you intend to cite should be read properly, since extraction can drop the qualifications that make a finding meaningful.
