What is Granola?
Granola takes a different approach from most notetakers: instead of sending a bot, it captures your computer's system audio locally and then uses AI to expand the rough notes you type during the call. Other participants have no indication anything is recording, which is its core differentiator. It runs as a Mac and Windows desktop app with AI chat, custom templates and multi-language support, and integrates with Notion, HubSpot, Slack and Zapier on paid plans. Three practical constraints. The workflow assumes you type during calls, so if you take no notes it does considerably less for you. The free Basic plan is limited by note history rather than volume, which is the usual upgrade trigger, with Business at $14 per user monthly unlocking unlimited history and integrations and Enterprise at $35 adding SSO and training opt-out. And speaker attribution degrades noticeably in calls with several participants.
